Papo Dinosaurs Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus 55077

Fossil remains were discovered in 1912 and named Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus in 1915. Only part of the skeleton is known, so it is not possible to determine exactly what this species looked like. It is clear that the skull resembled that of a crocodile and was suitable for gripping smaller prey firmly. On the back was a huge backsail, of which it is not exactly clear what it was for. Scientists disagree on whether Spinosaurus ate primarily fish or terrestrial animals and how tall it could grow; modern estimates of its length are between fourteen and eighteen metres.
