Product Description | The first Styracosaurus fossil was found in Alberta in 1913. The genus was given its name, meaning "spiny saurian," that same year when the type species Styracosaurus albertensis was named. Subsequently, another four species were named, but scientists now think that these are S. albertensis or other Centrosaurinae. Three fairly complete skeletons of Styracosaurus and a number of partial skulls have been found. Although many details are still unclear, the scientists got a reasonable picture of the structure of the animal. |
