Amargasaurus is a genus of herbivorous sauropod dinosaurs that lived in the area of present-day Argentina during the Early Cretaceous (Barremian). Amaragasaurus grew to about nine to ten meters long, so it was quite small for a sauropod. The weight is estimated at 2.6 tons. A distinctive feature of Amargasaurus is the double row of very long spinous processes, or spinous processes, on its cervical vertebrae.
