PAPO Knight of Malta 39926

The Knight of Malta was a crusader who belonged to the religious order of the same name. All its members, who were nobles by birth, wore a black cloak adorned with a white cross. From the 16th century onwards, the Knights of Malta organised the defence of the Maltese archipelago by building several fortifications.
