Arthur, son of the great King Uther Pendragon and Ygraine of Cornwall, was raised as a knight by Merlin. It was only after his father's death, and after pulling the legendary sword Excalibur from its pedestal, that he ascended to the throne. Accompanied by the Knights of the Round Table, he embarked on the most difficult quest in his history: the quest for the Holy Grail.
