PAPO Teutonic Knight 39947

Founded in 1128 in Jerusalem, the Teutonic Order was the third major religious and military order to emerge from the Crusades. The first knights of this order were called Brothers of St. Mary and their primary vocation was to care for sick or wounded Crusaders, before being reorganised in 1190 into a military order. This renewal subjected the knights to the rules of both the Hospitallers and the Templars.
