| Product Description | The first Velociraptor fossil was discovered in 1923. In 1924 the genus got its name meaning "swift robber". Then the type species Velociraptor mongoliensis was named. In 2008 a second species was described: V. osmolskae. A dozen specimens of Velociraptor have been excavated, including quite complete ones, so that scientists could get a good idea of what the animal looked like. |
